Horst Stein. Appearance

Immagine:
12/07 - 27/10/2013
Museo di Roma in Trastevere

Control and loss of control: "Appearance" combines two types of photography and hence escapes the dogmas of "objective" and "subjective". The series is organized in diptychs. The first photo of each image pair is a documentary of an urban place without passersby. The following photograph shows the identical setting and the first person who steps into the space between camera and image. Narration arises randomly and without direction. Not least by means of exposing and fading away, Appearance and Disappearance.
