Museo di Roma in Trastevere

An exhibition of the paintings of Princess Wijdan Al-Hashemi, Jordan's ambassador to Italy.

Her Highness is a painter of international renown and has numerous exhibitions in the most important capitals of the world to her credit. This exhibition aims at promoting an intercultural exchange and dialogue.
Art is thus seen as an instrument of peace and knowledge: if on the one hand, the role of the Princess is to educate the Jordanians about the art of other cultures, on the other hand she endeavours to promote abroad works from the Islamic world, particularly those by women artists.
