The Vivandières. Humble and forgotten protagonists of the Risorgimento
A series of valuable tables, given by the President Antonetta Carrabs of the Section Fidapa Monza Brianza, reproduce rare and unknown iconographies pf the daily lifes of the vivandières.
Vivandières were military attendants with logistical and medical tasks in the nineteenth century, initially cooks and laundresses, then assistants in health care and, finally, the stars of the opera by Gaetano Donizetti's "La Fille du régiment" [The Daughter of the Regiment].
